June’s Cafe in Newmarket, NH is a middle child in the cafe family from mother/son duo Deb + Michael. While we’ve worked on projects for each of their establishments, this is the first one we had the pleasure of doing the full branding for. We also worked on web design + development, photography + collateral for June’s.
For June’s, the fourth cafe in a suite of cafes by our friends, the McCluskys, Deb + Michael wanted a coastal grandmother feel while also pulling in the history of their new space in Newmarket, NH. We wanted to keep it simple, but lean into that warm + welcoming vibe. June’s needed to feel like a place you already know + love – a place you’re excited to return to + feel at peace in. For the web design, we wanted to bring homage to the other cafes while also providing June’s with their own standout location online. Using the color palette + fonts we curated for them, we set out to make a digital home for all the need to know info that flowed + captured the comforting atmosphere of June’s.
We created a menu using best practice guidelines to showcase their options, take customers through in an order that makes sense + bring a bit of fun flair for items + info we wanted to highlight. From coffee to bagels + sammies, you can find what you’re looking for with ease. Plus, check out that dutch baby. Yum.
June’s was experiencing some hold ups with building renovations and kitchen set up, so we headed to sister site, Stella’s, in Dover, NH to photograph the menu in time to get custom photography on the site. Just like any photoshoot, Meg + Kaitlyn had a lovely time climbing on chairs to get the perfect shot + arranging food + drink items (respectively). And yes, Kaitlyn did leave with that dutch baby. Delicious.
We’re so pleased with how the branding + design for June’s came out. Seeing our branding work out in the world, in use, is surreal. From the sign out front to the t-shirts + coffee cups, we can’t get enough. Wanna see our work irl? Head over to June’s for a snack and all the coastal grandma feels.
