[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]As a marketing & design agency with 90% senior living clients, we wanted to take a minute to address the current situation and do what we could to help. In this uncertain time, we are more than likely going to experience anxiety, confusion, and sadness, however, there is also opportunity and hope. We are writing this article to try to shine light during this time of need for small businesses across the country, to show there are still positives to be had despite our daily routines being disrupted. It is always easier said than done, however, given the current climate across the globe, we would like to highlight certain levels of positivity because although we are being told to practice “social distancing” and “shelter in place”, this is the exact scenario where we need to be coming together, not physically, but through support. We need to be good neighbors, community members, and help those in need as much as possible. Here are some ways to remain positive and to lend a helping hand:

Social Distancing

It may be a funny term, but this is a practice that will limit the exposure to coronavirus for not only yourself, but for those around you. We are fighting an extremely unforgiving virus and to combat this, we must do our best to stay out of public areas, especially for the elderly’s sake and those with pre-existing conditions.

Stay home and fill your time with something constructive. Don’t risk anything if you do not need to.

Something Constructive
• Clean out that closet or drawer you’ve been saying you’d get to since who knows when.
• Design, paint, read, write, take a walk, and enjoy any silence you can. Do something different that you normally might not.
• Enjoy time with loved ones. Our hectic, screen-ridden lives cause us to miss so much. Get out the board games, create a new game, do family movie nights. [Coming soon to a couch near you, NBC Universal will be making movies currently in theaters available from the comfort of your own living room.] • Revisit your financials. The stock market is undoubtedly taking a hit so do your best to educate yourself on things and come up with some new financial goals.

Something Local

You know that local shop down the street that you just love? Why not purchase a gift card or two to help provide them a little bit of revenue so their doors can stay open? We’re all on our phones constantly so why not head on over to your favorite online store and purchase food and meaningful supplies for those who may be in need? Donate to an organization or two you have always admired. Donate to countries currently suffering. Do some research to find out how you can help because every little bit can do just that, help. This may go against point number one, but this could be a time to volunteer any extra time you may have. Be smart and safe about it, but maybe you can help deliver food, help deliver supplies, help.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
