Riverside Farm Stand

Riverside Farm Stand

a new look for the oldest farm in Maine

  • branding + illustrations
  • web design + development
  • photography

We were so excited to connect + work with Kathleen + Ryan Tuttle of Riverside Farm Stand in North Berwick, ME. Meg grew up hanging around her grandparents’ farm + has found a strong appreciation for locally grown produce in her adult years. Kaitlyn grew up working at a local CSA farm with her mom + has never tasted something better than a freshly picked fruit or veggie, straight from the plant.

Riverside Farm Stand also holds a special place in our hearts because they’re the first recreative good client we took on following the program’s revival. recreative good is our ethical tech + marketing program for sustainable businesses + nonprofits where we strive to make the relationship between marketer and consumer mutually beneficial rather than predatory. learn more about recreative good here

The reason we restarted recreative good is because we believe good work deserves good representation, but we know that the people doing some of the best work out there can’t always afford the best representation. Riverside Farm Stand is doing some truly good, very important work that we think deserves to get noticed.

We took a carrot sketch from Farmer Ryan + transformed it into a logo that means something to the farm + its patrons. In addition to the new logo, we also made icons + custom illustrations that turned into icons + patterns for use across all platforms + stickers.

We used those designs to create a new website design + built them a new site to bring them into this century. While it’s important people know it’s an old, well-established farm, that doesn’t mean their website has to be old too.

Our main goal with the web design + development was to make the site more friendly + user friendly. Meg came up with a design everyone loved + Raman custom built it in WordPress.

On top of all the branding + web work, we also had the joy of photographing the farm lands, farm stand, + greenhouses. from planting to harvesting, prepping to selling, plants to pot pies, we got it all in our series of photoshoots to represent the farm throughout each season.

This project was so refreshing + lovely to work on. Another example of how collaborating with good people + building strong connections makes the work better.
