a little more pizazz for the wilder + anju

Julian of The Wilder + Anju Noodle Bar (+ The Dram) had us design + build Squarespace sites for his three establishments at the start of 2024. after photoshoots at both Anju + The Wilder, plus a normal evolution of the two restaurants over time, he recently decided he wanted a little refresh for the two sites. 

when we originally built the sites, we used a template + swapped out the colors, photos, typography + copy for each site. this helped keep the sites distinct while maintaining their connection for overall consistency. 

this time around, we did something similar. while the overall structure of the two sites is still the same, we turned up the pizazz a couple of notches, while of course keeping it optimized for usability and mobile. for The Wilder in particular, Julian wanted to lean more into a maximalist design where there’s more happening on the page. 

with the addition of some fun typography, our new photography + just a touch more flair, we created something a little more on-brand for The Wilder in its current state. for Anju, the main updates were about maintaining that visual consistency + swapping out the old images for shots from our photoshoot with them (you can even see Kaitlyn modeling in the bottom two pics).

this redesign was a fun project for a fun set of restaurants. we were happy to help Julian update these sites to better reflect the establishments as they are today – not as they were nearly two years ago. because we believe that your site should never hold you back from change; it should change with you.
