So Much Fun, We Gotta Run it Back: Photography for the Native Maine Food Show
Last year, we attended the Native Maine Produce & Specialty Foods Food Show up in Portland, ME. We took photos of the event + had our own little booth where we were offering free headshots to anyone interested (including our friend Beacon).
It was so nice to see familiar faces, put names to faces, + meet new people involved in the local food community. As we walked through the venue to take pictures of each booth, we got to try snacks + talk to tons of awesome folks. We got to see representatives of local brands we see in our supermarkets, like Little Leaf Farms, Culture Pop Soda + Cabot Creamery, but we were also introduced to some newer, smaller brands we hadn’t heard of before.
There was also a panel of speakers who talked about the current state of the food + restaurant business in Maine, covering everything from challenges to trends + exciting projects on the horizon.
It was a great opportunity for us to get more immersed in the behind the scenes part of the restaurant photography we’ve been doing more and more of since our move to Maine 5 years ago. We’re happy to announce that we’ll be back at the Food Show again this year.
We’re looking forward to seeing everybody, both people we met last year + NM Food Show newcomers, + hearing from this year’s panel!
We are once again the event photographer, + we’ll have our booth again which will have our very own food photo gallery, sticker + postcard packs as take homes, + booklets of our photography. We’ll be there starting at 10am Monday, April 27th.
Well, Meg will be there. Regretfully, I cannot make it this year. So make sure to stop by so Meg isn’t lonely!
